Luo Zhongli was born in Chongqing in 1948. Following his graduation from the Oil Painting Department of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1982, Luo took his Master's degree at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Belgium. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Chinese Artists' Association. In 1984 and 1985 respectively, Luo held solo exhibitions in Brusells and Boston. At 'The 2nd National Youth Arts Exhibition', 'Father' was awarded a First Class Prize and has subsequently been added to the collection of Luo Zhongli's work housed at the China Gallery of Fine Arts. This collection also includes two pieces from his well known 'Ba Mountain' series.
